■ Educational Vision of the Department of Russian Language and Literature
The Department of Russian Language and Literature seeks to nurture Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) experts who can contribute in a diverse international environment. In their course of studies, students engage in comprehensive academic work, including the exploration of the Russian language and Russian literature, and an immersion in Russia and CIS regional studies. The Department focuses on producing scholars who possess a high level of Russian proficiency, which will attune them to the trends of internationalization and globalization. The Department pursues a holistic approach to education through encouraging in-depth research and interdisciplinary learning in the humanities, and ultimately aims to foster top-tier scholars who can make real contributions to the field in the future.
